The attractive cantilever parasol makes an impression with its robust workmanship and its durability. - LED lighting High-efficiency LED strip lights, 6 watts per strip, in warm white or in RGB-W.
- Infrared radiant heaters with an output of 1,400 watts each, IP24, can be switched on individually at the housing, with double parabolic reflector for maximum efficiency and a long service life, low glare IR tubes
- Junction box. The automatic protection switch prevents the radiant heaters from accidentally being switched on when the parasol is closed. Integrated loudspeakers can also be installed.
- Cabling. High-quality outdoor cabling with waterproof plug-in connectors, protection rating IP68.
- Swivel brackets are used to secure the radiant heaters to the end of the spokes. This patented mechanism allows them to be rotated by 90°, and to be left in place when the parasol is closed. No time-consuming set-up and removal when closing and opening the parasol.
- Power supply. Conducted through the parasol pole to protect the cables from mechanical damage.

Easy operation
Using the Bluetooth remote dimmer app, it couldn’t be easier to create your own blend of light colours and to save individual light sequences and brightness values. The app also features a ‘convenient switch-off function’, which automatically switches off the light after 1 minute.
Additional equipment for your parasol
It goes without saying that MAY large parasols provide effective protection from the sun. If you’re looking for an even more effective way to protect yourself from the elements, then practical side panels are also available for our centre pole parasols FILIUS, SCHATTELLO and ALBATROS that can effortlessly convert your large parasol into a tent that is fit for any type of weather.
If you wish to set up several large parasols next to each other to form an uninterrupted canopy, for example as a variable shelter for your outdoor eating area or at open-air events, using rain gutters, USB charging ports – to ensure your guests remain dry even when it pours.

Open and close your parasol with ease
A real boon when it comes to operating convenience is the practical motor drive that is available as an optional extra for the SCHATTELLO and ALBATROS large parasols. It allows you to open and close your parasol quickly and effortlessly by pressing a button on a radio transmitter – and this from a distance of up to 25 metres. The motor is not visible to the eye, as it is fully integrated into the parasol pole.
Getting started couldn’t be easier thanks to Plug&Play technology. A waterproof plug-in connector from the earth cable to the motor cable is included – just like a hand crank is for emergency use if there’s a power failure. The motorisation of your large parasol is rounded off by an optional wind sensor. It measures the wind speed and automatically gives the tubular motor the signal to close your parasol. Solar power and remote operation means no cables are required.
Your parasol is easy to integrate into many Smart Home systems using a special radio transmitter station. We even have instructions on how easy a connection to the home automation systems made by elero, elsner, Gira, Loxone, Rademacher and Somfy, as well as for the KNX standard, is to carry out.
Please note: The wind sensor is only an aid and does not absolve the operator from the obligation to close the parasols when the wind picks up, and to secure them with cords.
We’ll also shade you from the side
Been there before? You’re sitting under the parasol, but the sun is still shining right in your face – it’s peeking through under the edge of the parasol canopy. The rays of the sun don’t shine down vertically, but rather come from an angle – often a low one in the early morning and evening. It’s for exactly this reason that we developed a cross between a valance and side sheet – the sunshade. The removable fabric sunshade is around one metre in height, and available in MayTex Acryl, MayTex Poly or MayTex PVC to match the canopy. Installation is perfectly straightforward and it can be retrofitted to the FILIUS, SCHATTELLO and to the ALBATROS. The current price list is available upon request. Make the playground safer for children
In nurseries in particular, unsupervised and boisterous play can lead to tears. The soft material protects from painful bumps up to a height of 85 cm. Correctly mounted, the impact protection also covers the upper part of the anchor sleeve and ensures standard-compliant installation. The zip runs along the entire length, allowing the impact protection to fit snugly around the entire length of the parasol pole.
Side panels for large parasols

Along with their outstanding functionality, our parasol side panels are a sight to behold: Perfectly harmonised with the colour of your parasol, closed, with vision panels or with individual rectangular windows or ones with an elegant arch, or with an integrated door that rolls open, our side panels for large parasols can satisfy just about any design requirement.
The practical details make our side panels easy to install, so they can provide ideal top-to-bottom protection from unpleasant draughts – something MAY excels in! The side panels for parasols are made of the high-quality MayTex-Poly - material and can be printed with an image of your choice.
A high table to integrate into the pole
Give your guests a high table for drinks or an ashtray. A sociable solution for small groups of people standing outdoors. Integrated into the parasol pole, you won’t need a stand for the table – and will have an easy way to extend the service area. When installed on the pole at a height of around 27.6", the table is the perfect complement to your open-air area when seating is added. A maximum area can be exploited in a small space.

Rain gutters
Rain is an unwelcome guest at any open-air activity. This is just as true of the outdoor area of your eatery or café as it is for all events held outdoors such as trade fairs, sporting events, exhibitions, etc. Centre pole parasols made by MAY provide an elegant and highly versatile solution for this problem: The large parasols FILIUS, SCHATTELLO and ALBATROS are, as rectangular parasols, square parasols and triangular parasols, perfectly straightforward to combine into an uninterrupted ceiling of parasols.
This means of shelter from the rain is rounded off with the installation of rain gutters, which are available to suit your large-format parasol – with colours that harmonise exactly with the colour of your parasol. Installing the parasol rain gutters couldn’t be easier – and the effect makes an impression!
