The cost of a bespoke Pergola can be all over the shop, to be honest, it really does depend on the size and complexity of the job. Our jobs typically fall within a fairly broad range - mid teens to £50,000+, but the more elaborate the design the more it'll cost.
What is the big difference between a rotating vs a fully retractable louvre roof ?
Louvres that rotate can be tilted to pretty much any degree, which lets you control the amount of sunlight, shade, ventilation & airflow you get , so really its all about finding the right balance for your space. Fully retractable louvres slide right back allowing the roof to completely open up & you get a much more direct connection to the sky. For me its all about the architecture & what the space is intended for.
Are Lusso Verde Pergolas waterproof ?
Our louvre roof systems are designed to be pretty water tight when closed up , the water just drains away through the structure - but its worth noting a pergola is still just an outdoor structure & not a fully sealed building. So you can expect some water getting in during the odd downpour or when the winds are howling.
Do I need planning permission for a Pergola ?
Planning requirements will depend on loads of things - where your property is, how big the structure is, how high its going to be etc etc. Recommend you check in with your local planning authority or get in touch with a qualified planner to see if you need permission or any of the building regulations nonsense.
Can Pergolas be used all year round ?
Yeah, with the right spec you can make a Pergola a really comfortable space to hang out in, no matter the weather. Adding in a bit of heating, glazing, zip blinds, some nice lighting & other bits & bobs can make it a lovely spot to be in , even in the depths of winter.
